LAY ME DOWN
A Slow Flow, Yin and Yoga Nidra Practice

We cannot force turbulent waters into stillness. The more we try to push the waves down, the more waves we create. If instead, we came to the water knowing that stillness was its natural state, and all that was needed for it to return to stillness was to patiently wait for the wind to quiet and the waves to settle.

The same is true with our own inner stillness. If we try to force our tumultuous energy to be still, our bodies will revolt and begin to see stillness as a straitjacket it needs to escape from. If instead, we gently lay ourselves down, move slowly and with care, we can create an environment where stillness can reintroduce itself as the old friend it is.

In this 2-hour yoga journey, we will build the conditions for your inner sanctuary to re-emerge. Starting with a breath-centred slow flow, we'll melt the layers of physical and mental tension. As the body and nervous system settle, we'll transition into a tranquil yin practice that will soften the body and the spirit. Finally, cocooned in the profound relaxation of yoga nidra, you'll be guided to explore the tranquil depths of yogic sleep. No effort is required, simply follow the voice that reminds you of your body's innate wisdom to heal and restore itself.

Let the waters settle and reconnect with the stillness that abides within. Not through force, but by creating the space for it to naturally reemerge. Leave feeling nourished, rejuvenated, and in touch with the peaceful sanctuary you can return to anytime.
